They kept refilling our glasses without having to ask for water. They took time to explain menu items to us. And then the food, absolutely mind blowing! So authentic and well prepared, I’ve only had such great curry and pad Thai in Thailand, the whole experience was no less than a Michelin restaurant! ”

“ Some of the best service there is in Edinburgh, we chose to diner here for a birthday meal and it was brilliant. 2 of our party had been to Dusit before and were aware of the private room down the stairs. We had to young children with us who were particularly tired and fussy today so there was some tantrums but being in your own space meant you had the space to deal with it. The staff were very understanding of the children and all made an effort to engage with them which really was lovely! We opted for the banquet option which was a great choice. As we ordered for 4 adults we got all starters and mains. The food was delicious and the staff were great at explaining each dish.you get rice and noodles to go with and we were offered refills if needed but we were stuffed. My favourite was the Gai Manow and the Pad Kraprao. And the dumplings and sauce in the starter! They were so attentive topping up our wine and water. Would definitely recommend! ”

“ As someone from Thailand, I could never thought I’d say this: Surprisingly the best Pad Thai I’ve had isn’t in Thailand but it’s in Edinburgh! Right from this restaurant Dusit. If you never ate Pad Thai before but you’ve come to Dusit, well this isn’t a should try but it’s a must try or if you already love Pad Thai well you know what to do. Pad Thai is SO GOOD, like THE BEST IN THE WORLD. Tom yum clear soup is good too. Miss this place already and I will come back for sure! ”

“ Another great meal, a hidden gem with lovely food! Thistle street houses some little gems to visit. Lots of food places and some nice bars along the way. I was introduced to Dusit by work colleagues a couple of years ago and now always choose it for dinner every Tim I visit Edinburgh. It’s fascinating to see the variety of dishes coming out of the kitchen, presentation of food appears very important to the chefs and it really does add to the theatrics of tasting some really good food. Well done Dusit! Drinks are served promptly on arrival and there is lots to choose from in the starters menu, the king prawns are amazing and carry a niece fiery heat from the dipping sauce. I try something new each time I visit, recently I tried the coated monkfish curry. The chunks of fish were very generous and the sauce was sublime, every dish carries lots of fresh garnishes to add to that characteristic flavour. Water is constantly refreshed at the table. The bathrooms are located downstairs via some winding stone steps, there are further dining rooms down there too. The whole place seemed to be kept very tidy and clean. I’ll certainly come back again on my next trip! ”

“ The best Thai we’ve ever eaten! We always look for a Thai restaurant during our travels because we know the food will always be similar in taste. This place exceeded our expectations! The owner and staff were welcoming even though we didn’t have a reservation. She could have told us no seats available but she found us a spot. Literally ate there all 3 nights we were in Edinburgh. Food came out quick and hot! The staff checked on us and made sure we had a wonderful meal. The location is off the beaten path but so worth the extra steps! If possible, recommend a reservation.
